CREMATION wurde 1992 gegründet und steht seit 33 Jahren für eigenständigen und

kompromisslosen Death Metal. Stilistisch liess sich die Band von schwedischen, englischen und amerikanischen Ikonen der späten Achtziger und frühen Neunziger inspirieren. CREMATION kreierte einen zeitgemäßen Sound, reifte musikalisch und entwickelte sich weiter, ohne dabei ihre Identität und Authentizität zu verlieren.

CREMATION hat im Laufe der Jahre viel Live-Erfahrung gesammelt und mit

unzähligen nationalen und internationalen Bands gespielt, sowie 2014 mit

Resurrection und 2016 mit YOB getourt. Kleinere Touren wurden oft selbst oder mit

anderen Bands und Organisatoren durchgeführt. Auch diverse Festivals (Mountains

of Death, MehSuff, Las Vegas Deathfest, Open Air Gampel etc.) stärkten die Live-

Performance. Länder wie Deutschland, Polen, Tschechien, Belgien, Holland, USA

und Japan durften besucht, erlebt und bespielt werden.

IGNIS (1999), GROTESQUE HUMANITY (2002), BURN THE DEAD (2007), RISE

OF THE PHOENIX (2012) und IN THE MAELSTROM OF TIME (2017) waren

selbstproduzierte Silberlinge, die den Zeitgeist widerspiegelten und ohne

Unterstützung eines Labels veröffentlicht wurden.

WHERE THE BLOOD FLOWS DOWN THE MOUNTAINS wurde im Dezember 2022

erstmals über das Label CZAR OF CRICKETS veröffentlicht. Der eingeschlagene

Weg gemeinsam zu gehen, befeuerte CREMATION die Zukunft vertrauensvoll zu

gestalten und die Streaming Zahlen auf den namhaften Plattformen bestätigten die

gelungene Zusammenarbeit. Auch viel starke Reviews auf Print Magazinen oder Online bestätigten die Qualität des Silberlings. So beschreibt Rockhard Magazin 429

wie folgt: «Als reines Brutal-Death-Kommando würden CREMATION alles einebnen,

aber die Platte taugt, gerade ob ihrer Bandbreite, auch eine Menge! 8/10 Punkten.»

Papier ist bekanntlich geduldig, für die Band zählt schlussendlich nur die Live-

Performance! Von Müdigkeit ist bei CREMATION nichts zu spüren. Sie sind bereit sich auf die Zukunft einzulassen und den eingeschlagenen Weg weiterzuführen.

CREMATION have stood for independent and uncompromising death metal from

Switzerland for nearly 33 years. Stylistically they were inspired by Swedish, English and American icons of the late eighties and early nineties, creating their contemporary and technical sound. Over the years, the band matured musically and evolved as in real life, without losing their identity and authenticity.

IGNIS 1999, GROTESQUE HUMANITY 2002, BURN THE DEAD 2007,

RISE OF THE PHOENIX 2012 and IN THE MAELSTROM OF TIME 2017 were selfproduced

albums that reflected the Spirit of age and were released without the support of a

label. CREMATION has gained a lot of live experience over the years, playing with

countless national and international bands, as well as touring with Resurrection in

2014 and YOB in 2016. Smaller tours were often done by themselves or with other

bands and organizers. Various festivals (Mountains of Death, MehSuff, Las Vegas

Deathfest, Open Air Gampel etc.) also strengthened the live performance. Countries

such as Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, Belgium, Holland, the USA and

Japan were visited, experienced and played in.

WHERE THE BLOOD FLOWS DOWN THE MOUNTAINS was released for the first

time in December 2022 via the CZAR OF CRICKETS label. The chosen path of

going together spurred CREMATION on to shape the future with confidence and the

streaming figures on the well-known platforms confirmed the successful

collaboration. Many strong reviews in print magazines and online also confirmed the quality of the album. Rockhard Magazine 429 describes it as follows: “As a pure

brutal death commando, CREMATION would level everything, but the record is also

good for a lot, especially because of its range! 8/10 points.”

As we all know, paper is patient, but in the end it's the live performance 

that counts for the band!

Tiredness is not to be felt at CREMATION. They are ready to embrace the future and

go on the path they have chosen.
